I got impraza seats in mine. (2001 2.5 rs)

The rails are the same width. 3/4 tabs are in the right place, just to go bend 1 down. Drill 3 holes and Weld an extension on the 4th tab. The seats are more of a sporty bucket and are very comfortable.

When I owned my 96 extended cab/manual transmission....

I removed the 60/40 split bench and installed bucket seats (and center console) from a Regular cab.

The seats bolted right in. The center console part didn't sit completely flush with the floor, but I was able to bolt it in and it worked just fine. I can't remember if I had to drill holes in the floor for the console or not ( that was 8 years ago).

I got the seats at a junkyard.
