So Last year I ordered a 3.4L from Japan and rebuilt it. Today I found out that I have a 1998 Intake Manifold, where as I have a 1996 Tacoma. Thanks @Speedytech7! Searching through forum threads I found the Volvo MAF Swap by @1997tacomav6 (Link Below)

People with similar years (1995-1996) are saying their ECU pretty much hates this mod for some reason. Anyway on the Japan Motor ,which I'm assuming is a 1998 based on the Intake Manifold, came with its associated ECU.

Would it be okay to swap ECU's? Are the 1997+ ECU better/ more programable? Would love to hear what you guys think.

    Thanks
