    That's is what the entire post is about... replacing the one-way vent that Toyota puts on the rear diff with the same (true 2-way) breather that Toyota uses on the front diff.

    Yeah. That's what I ended up doing. Was a lot easier. There's a little metal cross bar in there with a hole in it that I zip-tied the breather to.

    Good thread, I just picked up a very clean bone stock 2015 TRD Offroad DC short bed. New to the forum and new to the Toyota world (jumped the fence from the Jeep world) and looking forward to learning all about the right mods and upgrades for my Tacoma.

    I would look to see if the line for the breather is plugged, that would cause the oil to weep out the seals with no release.
