Oh ok. Well I got a new job over in Dubai, and my parents live in lebanon. So I decided to put it on a container and keep it at their house since I visit often and lebanon has amazing mountains to drive it in. Texas is all flat so it wasn’t so much fun there.

These pictures aren’t in order, but you can see it in the container when it arrived, then with customs, then in my parents garage, then in the mountains in north lebanon.

There’s nothing like it in lebanon. I’ve only seen one other 3rd gen. You only see hiluxes and 2nd gens.

Very very cool man! She looks bad ass, must turn alotta heads over there huh! I grew up outside of the US, so I grew up in and around lots of hilux trucks! My dad still has his 2001 hilux double cab diesel 4x4 that he bought brand new. Props to you for making it happen over there and bringing your truck along too. Very special thing.

Thanks man! Yeah I’ve had so many people ask to buy it. I’ll never sell!

I’m just super scared she will get stolen and end up in Syria with those bad people. I need to install a kill switch.

If you don't mind me asking:

    1) How much did that cost? I have a quote to ship to Europe for $3k one way.
    2) What ports did you ship from and to?
    3) How did you secure the truck in the Sea Can (details if possible, I see in some of your pictures cargo straps and wood blocks)? I stored my 1970 Chevelle in a Sea Can last year and there was barely any room laterally. My Sea Can was stationary on land, I would worry about ocean movement / crane operations causing enough side to side to damage the vehicle.
    4) What insurance / registration do you use in Lebanon, was it simple to get?

Thanks I would very much appreciate your comments on my questions.

So total cost was 13K, that’s shipping and taxes. Taxes here are high, so don’t expect that in Europe. There were also tons of other fees.

Shipped from Houston, Texas to Beirut, Lebanon.

As far as securing the truck, they did all that for me. I gave it to the shipping company and they did everything from there. So I have no clue how.

Instance is easy, I forgot the name but I can go into the truck later and tell you. Registration is tricky, since it’s a pickup truck. You can’t own a pickup truck here unless you have land or need it for work. My dad has land so we put it in his name.

    Are you shipping to lebanon?

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. No I would not be shipping to Lebanon. I am guessing you would have already said but I am assuming no damage while being shipped?

None! I was honestly shocked. It was left exactly the same way I left it. There was a muddy footprint on my drivers side seat, but that’s because the dude opening my crate had to squeeze out.
