I stand corrected, you are right about the loan. As someone else mentioned though... What a mess!

Oh it's totally a mess. No disagreement there. IMO, Toyota is handling this horribly.

Think about it like this: The truck will have 20k fewer miles on it when you go to trade it in on that minivan you were forced to live with, and eventually came to love. It's like Beauty and the Beast meets Stockholm Syndrome.

edit: Seriously though, I hope it works out for you, OP.

This kind of hits home. I've had this Rav4 loaner for so long now, even though I despise it, it's starting to actually feel like it's my car now. I've almost forgotten what my truck was even like. lol

Don't love on it too much. Beauty and the Beast wasn't a documentary. If your furniture starts talking to you, it's the drugs.

My guess would be safety. They're claiming the rear end could lock up and cause a loss of control.
Not having a loaner provided for you is questionable if they're keeping it for a long period of time...
My situations different I guess cause it's a class action. It states in the literature a loaner must be provided.

20000 fewer miles, may help hold resale value, am afraid with the problems with this recall, tocama's will leave a bad taste in peoples mouth and the resale value will drop. Ford will be coming out with the new ranger before long......
