This probably a noob question but...... So what is the major differences between a locker and lsd differential? And what are the pros and cons for each?

Well I know a locker locks both wheels at the same speed. That's about all I know

Locker does what the name implies, it locks left and right wheels of the axle together. Limited slips does what the name implies, it limits the amount the left and right wheel can slip relative to one another. New trucks accomplish limited slip this via abs unit. Use google.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I've owned both in Tacomas, locker locks the rear wheels together, goes just about anywhere, makes it difficult to turn on hard pavement. LSD (in the newer version) is more like what you know as posi but does it by applying the brake to the wheel that spins. Personally I liked the locker a lot better. I've been in situations where the LSD felt dangerous. My dislike may also be partially due to the street tires that are part of the Sport package. In earlier gen 2 Tacomas the LSD was mechanical, that would be much preferred over the electronic version of today.
