So i'm about to journey off and get some bigger tires... I'm running 295/75/16 BFG ATs at the moment and I haven't regeared yet. However, i'm going to 315/75/16 Red Letters and was going to do 4.56s or 4.88s... Then after a little research by my local truck shop he said that they changed the rearends in 2011.

I guess my question is, who's regeared their 2011s and what gear set did you go with and what brand?

He told me but I can't remember... but basically he was saying that I couldn't get the 4.88s because of that reason and that 4.56s were my only option for the most part and the parts were about double as if I had an older second gen... I don't have any reason to doubt him and I wouldn't have any reason to suspect him of trying to "rip me off"... He's good people... That's just what he discovered after calling his resources.

    I regeared my 4cyl 5 sp 2011 from 4.11 to 4.88.

I think what he's trying to tell you is there are two different factory carriers. One's for 4.11 and up, the other for 3.73 and down.

4.56 gears are available "thick" for the 3.73 carrier, but if you want to go to 4.88, you have to switch to the 4.10 carrier, or a replacement diff such as ARB.

Sounds about right maybe LOL... He did mention something about the carrier... I guess that might explain the higher price for the parts?

Yeah you'll need a new carrier so more money. If you don't have an e-locker, might be a good time to upgrade to an ARB since you'll need to swap carriers and you'll have the diff apart anyway.
