Well we all use our differential system all the time-meaning that the drive-train will allow every wheel to turn at different speed - differentiating the speed of the wheels. If you are talking about a locker, where it locks the differential and no longer allows the wheels to spin at different speeds.... Only when I need it and only as long as I need it. Unless you are on very slippery/loose trail/road, you will put way too much stress on the driveline components!

To all of you that say before... unless you are on very loose stuff... you can delay until just before you are stuck... just sayin' you would be surprised how little you really need it and I promise you, the less you have it on, the better!

It may be different where you wheel but after you get used to using as little as possible you may like it better. jus sayin I personally would like to have a trigger on my steering wheel to pop it on and pop it off!
