Back about January or February I had installed the Tacoma Beast headlights, completely unaware of just how dim they were. I avoid driving my Tacoma at night because they are so bad. But I love the aggressive look it gives the truck and don't want to change that.
Where is the best place to look for LED lights that fit that housing without having to modify the dust cover?

I used to have these lights. I decided to get my OEM lights retrofitted.
The OEMassive lights have H7 bulbs. You can put in HIDs. I also fit H7 LEDs in the high beams.

This topic gets beaten to death and I'm not trying to be a jerk..

But you shouldn't stuff LEDs or HIDs into a halogen housing. It really is obnoxious to people coming toward you. Just because the HIDs seem "brighter" doesnt mean its an upgrade. The light going straight up into the trees, not down the road.

Crashnburn80 knows his stuff, his threads are legit. Please read them

I’ve read them all, I have retrofitted headlights.
I’m just trying to help this poor guy on his first ever post.
I used to be where he is. Those lights have a good cutoff. HIDs worked.

Welcome to the forum! As mentioned you bought low quality headlights that are known for awful performance. The headlights lack focused optics. Replacement LEDs bulbs actually make focus even worse, so the performance with LEDs will be worse than what you have now. Pretty much the only way people get enough light out of those is by using HID, but that will produce excessive uplight/glare to oncoming drivers since they are halogen projectors that allow uplight vs true HID projectors. There is no legitimate way to ‘fix’ their output. The best off the shelf headlights by far are OEM.

Just went out for a drive in the rain (9pm) and I literally couldn't see anything from the headlights. I ended up having to drive 30mph in a 45mph road because I couldn't see what lane I was in. Btw, I don't drive at night/in the dark.

I'll get the dashcam footage brb

it really only sucks in the rain

Ouch. I put mine in storage. I may just save up and buy the new Alpha Rex TRD Pro style headlights. Hopefully someone will have a review of them soon.

Nope. I have seen reviews on the LED versions but not the last ones that they have put out, which are halogen. The new ones are also somewhat more affordable.

I’d find a set of stock assemblies someone is selling and do the upgraded halogen bulb (H9 or the +130s) and be done with it if the OEM LED units aren’t in your budget.

Literally anything other than those two are a downgrade from an output standpoint.
