Hello TW, I've got a slight issue with the backup camera. I've found that once I put it into reverse that the screen brightens up, and makes it difficult to see backing my boat in. I know there is a brightness setting under display, but has not been a solution. There isn't a whole lot of info that I've found searching, wasn't sure if I am possibly missing something, Thanks again fellas.

I know you said ypu are aware of the brightness setting, but did you change it for General or Camera? Also did you adjust the contrast?
Is this happening in the daylight or dark?
Have you changed your taillights/reverse lights to something brighter than stock?

    What @daddy_o said.

The left/right turn of the trip knob only works the dash brightness. To change the brightness of the radio, you have to go into the radio settings.

Think it’s thru the apps. Look for display and pick from there.

I will double check later on the setting, I do believe it’s under general, so possibly there is a camera option that I’ve overlooked. And it’s happening after dark. All of my lights are factory. The lights aren’t the problem, it’s the brightness of the display that makes it difficult to see backing up. I can turn the brightness down on the display, but once I go to reverse, when the screen changes to the backup camera, it’s always super bright.

Can't remember if it works but try turning the headlights on. But I believe the screen is attached to a seperate light sensor.

I turn the headlights off to brighten it when I want it.

The reason I asked about it being dark, your reverse lights could be the issue. They are pretty bright on the screen when it's dark out.

Thank you guys, I found the camera setting, I must have adjusted it while in “general” and not the actual camera brightness. I’ll try it out Friday night and see if it made a difference. When launching boats we always keep our headlights off so that someone can see to back in beside us on the ramp. Appreciate the quick replies.

And Daddy_o just to clarify. It’s just the overall brightness inside the cab due to the 7” display making it difficult to see while backing down the ramps.
