What is it with people with lifted diesel trucks thinking they can go through anything? This gym pulled into a washout that ended up being 5 ft deep and getting stuck and destroying his truck. A tow truck came out and couldn't get him out but me and my buddy Bmaker and two jeeps finally got this guy out and up so that AAA could get him out of there. Folsom lake claims another truck lol

Lol, used to see that all the time where I used to live. Jacked up diesel, massive wheels, thin tires, nfg for anything but a parking lot

Living in Texas, my "off-road" truck is mocked. The diesel guys think their trucks are the real off-roaders. The stupidity is real.

I don't think it has to do with "lifted diesel trucks" it has more to do with the person behind the wheel :burp:

Ah, Folsom Lake... I used to wheel over on the Granite Bay side back in HS. Grew up in EDH.

A few mods here and there and counting....
I love Folsom lake, such a chill spot. Youtuber "4x4 Rescue" has dug a lot of people out of there in recent months.

It's a mentality. Some of them think they can simply power through anything without regard for traction, ground clearance, approach and departure angles. It's a "Just go bigger" state of mind rather than a right tool for the job approach, let alone a "This might not be a good decision" consideration. Mix all that up with some "Bros" and beers and you have the makings of a grease fire.

Go to Folsom often. Love that place but at that spot pictured….seen lots of people attempt to cross and get stuck.

picture of my taco at Folsom. Take the pups on walks there often.
