Looking at getting some red map lights, but I'm a little hung up on what lumen to get? I know red is not as harsh as white but I bump around in the dark a fair bit and want to be able to see things in the cab but not blow out my night vision. Any of you run any of these in your map lights?

I have a red LED in my map light from superbrightleds.com. Not DD, but the red is quite bright but not even close to as disruptive as the oem lights.

I'll have to check those out. What lumen? Or is there a choice?

I replaced all my interior lights with DD and love them. Its such a nice upgrade! Heres what I got.

-Cool white vanity lights, bulb SMF1
    -Cool white dome, bulb HP6
    -Red map lights, bulb HP5

Other than the initial install, Ive only run the red maps and love them. Got the whites as a backup if red was no go. I think these vanitys are plenty bright.

When I ordered, the SMD12 board for the dome wasnt available but that would be the only thing Id do differently if had to do it again.

Heres a pic after install. This is with the red maps. I’ll try to grab one when its dark as well

Thanks for the pics, I have some on order from super bright led's. Hopefully they'll be here in a few days.
