    Just some stuff...
For what it’s worth originally I thought I had no cutoff at all. I parked my truck about thirty feet away from a wall and it looked like the whole was lit up. Couldn’t figure out how people were getting such a nice off. Then I took a picture of it to upload and noticed there really is a decent cutoff. Weird how the camera sees something I don’t. Either way I still turn them off while driving in the city or behind other vehicles. They’re pretty bright.

Do it. I refinished my headlight lenses, did the harness and am running the osram bulbs. Us ‘05-‘11 guys don’t get as big an improvement as the ‘12-‘15 guys get but it’s noticeable and worth it. It wasn’t the final solution for me but I don’t regret it.

Well I had my headlights for nearly a year before I put them in. Lol. So what’s the rush.

I get flashed constantly with me
Yep, I get flashed constantly with my ss3 pro ambers pointed as low as they go.
Bought them for daily, cause my keychain lights brighter than my cool looking tube lights.

$30 fogs=Never turned off, never got flashed.
SS3 pro amber fogs=Never turned on without getting flashed.

Is your truck lifted by chance? If so, it's almost impossible to aim the Pros low enough without some modifications to the mounts. I nded up re-purposing my Pros (after I upgraded to the Max) by swapping in clear Driving pattern lenses and installing them in another vehicle - where they work perfectly.

As for the $30 fogs "never getting flashed," I would propose that was because they just didn't have enough output. And that's a completely different problem.

After Adding some washers to push the DD bracket out and washers to out the outside mounting bolts my lights are finally secure and are no longer moving. I was also able to get my lights properly aimed and no longer having constant flashing from on coming traffic. I plan on ordering new lens covers and swapping to Fogs so I have better cut off. I still want to do the driving light mod so they are on with high beams

I wondered if truly was fog lens or the driving lens.

Yes I have a 3” lift, and was told the same thing from a few people here the pro’s with a lifted truck will always bleed to high for street use, figures after all the researching I did before I purchased them, never read that once.
    My Pro’s are amber fogs.
After aiming them per directions here they were awesome, but after getting flashed so much, I now just have them aimed down as low as they’ll go, don’t get that wow factor as much.
I’ll figure out a way to rig them to point lower, just hope they’ll still work good enough pointed even lower.
I also was thinking if I get the white fog lenses to replace the amber, it wouldn’t bother people as much, not sure if I’ll like them as much though

Let me try to break down the problem and the solution here. First, the problem is not the lights as much as where they're mounted. Fog pattern lights are designed with a wide, flat beam pattern. They are designed to illuminate a relatively short distance forward, but with a wide spread. Also note that all factory fog lights are mounted low in the front valance. With a lifted vehicle - or where the lights are mounted higher in the front end - fog lights are always cause a problem with blinding oncoming drivers. And the more powerful the light, the bigger the problem.

As for aiming them lower to avoid blinding oncoming drivers, although this may be (somewhat) successful, you will also dramatically reduce both the range and width of the beam pattern. This pretty well negates the usefulness of the lights. The real solution - assuming you want / need a true fog pattern light - is to mount them in a lower position.

I have the white in my Tacoma and amber in our 4Runner. The amber, in my opinion, is easier on the eyes. I don’t think you will benefit by changing to white.

Thx man, I get it but then why wouldn’t all the rams, raptors….trucks higher than mine blind me when I’m looking at them.
Wonder if I got the sports if the problem be as bad.

on another note, was around 10 degrees out and my fogs wouldn’t turn on, went on next morning when it got a little warmer. Knew the pros didn’t get hot enough to melt ice, wasn’t aware they might not work when it’s that cold.

Two points here. First, you may have noticed that the previous generation 3/4 and 1 ton Ford pickups moved their low beams to the lower grill - because they were getting so tall that mounting them higher really caused problems. (I used to drive an F-550 fitted with a salter and between the already high truck and the 3 yards of salt in the back, when fully loaded, I pissed off everybody. Oh, and I couldn't see crap either.) The current generation uses both the top and bottom positions for low and high beams though.

As for the Sport (or Elite) model possibly making things better, I would propose that it will make some difference due to the tighter (horizontal) beam pattern. The looser pattern in the Pro causes part of your problem.

I'm running the sports and I've never been flashed. That being said when I do run them I don't know why I'm not being flashed. Pretty sure they're aimed properly, but as far as I'm concerned they bleed out quite a bit. Often I'll turn them off if I get up close to another car.
