    Hi all,

2021 TRD Off-Road owner here, basically all stock at the moment. This is my first truck and I'm getting into wanting to do night runs and overnight camping here in the So Cal mountains, and debating on getting some Diode Dynamics lights, but torn between upgrading the fogs, or adding a hidden 30 inch light bar instead. I do plan on some ditch lights as well at the same time, but can't do all three unless I want my wife to kill me - LOL! I know this question is subjective, but is there a preference for one or the other in terms of a light bar or fogs? Being in SoCal, we don't get much rain or fog, so I'm leaning towards the white combo pattern light bar/ and amber ditch lights? Or should I go amber bar and white ditch? Any feedback from personal experience would be much appreciated! Thank you.

You search the mod-list, but don't find anything of interest.
I have the pro output, yellow, SAE/DOT SS3 Fog light kit and a 30" hidden, white, combo bar. I would recommend the fogs first because they're street legal so you can run them on road too, they're insanely bright (obviously not brighter than the lightbar, but for everyday driving they're pretty insane) and they're a LOT easier to install. For the fog lights I needed a philips screwdriver and about 20 minutes to remove a few screws, attach adapters, and install the lighted into the brackets and back into the truck; just reach down from either headlight gap and it's not bad. For the Lightbar it took a socket set, a pry tool for the body pins, front grille removal, horn bracket removal, crash bar nuts removal, and I'm sure another few bolts I'm forgetting. This took about an hour and fifteen minutes to do (after determining that the horn bracket HAD to be removed/loosened completely) and cleanly hide away the wiring. I have no experience with ditch lights at this time, sorry.

I have the DD sport fogs and they are legit. The light output is huge, especially offroading in dust, rain, or snow.

Just don’t run them in broad daylight for no reason…don’t be that guy…he gets avoided at parties lol

If you are going to be “off-road” at night then I’d go with the light bar. Insanely bright and obviously not for city/hi-way driving but you can knock down a small plane!
