Picked up the sport ss3 fogs in amber for my '19 taco, anyone have any experience with them? really a fan of how they direct fit into the oem housing without the need for a bracket.

Which would be better, the Sport or Pro level of illumination? Might the Pro be too bright?

As far as I know they are both SAE approved so they both should be road legal, I’d just make sure both are aimed properly but I saw they have instructions for it.

There is also the Max: Diode Dynamics SS3 Max

Better depends on what you are looking for, all are street legal due to appropriate cut offs. Sports and Max have sharper cut offs than the Pro. The Sport will not de-ice in snow conditions. Sport and Pro are available in 4000k by purchasing yellow and doing a clear lens swap. Pro covers the largest area compared to the Sport and Max with a wider and taller beam.

Snagged a 12" SAE driving bar, mount and wiring harness for my civic. Headlights aren't bad, but the highbeam is definitely lacking some punch.

I swapped out a set of BD squadron sport lights for the SS3 fogs. Night and Day difference between the two, said as a BD fanboy. Easy plug and play shouldn't take you more than 30-60 mins to install.

The pros are quite bright, but the cutoff is surgically clean so as long as they are aimed properly, there's no issues. The side visibility really lights up the road edges as well where there's lots of critters that may do harm to the taco.
