No sir - just shoot them a call. You will have to pay return shipping but otherwise it should be fairly simple. You might want to stress to them that their website needs to clarify that they need to make it clear about it being for CF18 Tacoma's ONLY and to check first....

Great. I found a wiring diagram for the 8pin. I'm hoping that the difference between the 8 wire and 12 wire will show that the 4 wire difference is just for DRL...in which case a little adaptation might do the trick.

so mine has DRL. But I can turn them off. Will this work. I would love to have 1 touch blinker for signaling lane change

You'll have to check to see if you have a 12-pin or 8-pin blinker relay.

Beyond the pita of getting to it, it was fairly simple. Lol. I could get to it on the back of the fuse panel, but I didn't have any leverage to pull it out, so I popped the lower dash and fuse panel off. Snapped out and in. It stopped the hyper flash and works well. Thanks Bruce for handling it. Btw, the programming instructions are on the package and it is fairly simple to do. Key on/key off, hazards on/hazards off, turn signal up/down.

Very envious of you! Unfortunately, I have to send mine back unless someone here figures out a way to make it work with DTL's (I'm not that smart when it comes to this type of thing).

Would there be any issues running this flasher with an aftermarket alarm/remote start?

Hope this helps some with the hazard function. The arrival and departure are already set in and changing the number of flashes on single tap are easy enough.

There was a Manufacturers recall on these - they used the wrong capacitor and they kept blowing out the relay when you used the lock/unlock approach and departure feature with stock incandescent bulbs. They are replacing all the units with a proper sized capacitor for free (covering shipping both ways - and they'll send you the replacement before requesting the old one back). I'm waiting on two units which just shipped out yesterday and I'll take videos.

Here's a video of it functioning with just the hazards for now - no lock/unlock approach or departure mode enabled.

Don't mind my co-workers horsing off in the background....

Its likely not going to happen and I don't have enough time at the moment to rip apart one of these and source a DTRL relay to test with... along with a truck to test it on that I won't be afraid to fry components since well.. I'm a mechanical engineer and we all know what happens when they play with electronics...
