Your gonna want to upgrade from the 125 way to quick, and at only 150lbs a 450 is too much. Definitely go with a 250.

TTR125 is definitely way too small, you would get bored SO fast on that thing, if you ever even enjoyed riding it from the start. It would be a different story if you were a complete beginner, but you have riding experience.

As I think it has been stated before, this really depends on the type of riding you plan on doing, AND your riding style. I'm 5'7", 145lbs and I ride a WR450. Before I bought my 450 last summer, I was riding a WR250, which I bought the summer before. I had riding experience but had always ridden really old crappy bikes, my 250 was my first legit bike. My friend who used to race motocross told me when I was buying my 250 that I was going to get bored, but I constantly argured with him that a 450 was way too much power for me and I bought the 250. I was pretty happy on it until the beginning of last summer when I got on his 450 and realized how much more fun it was...my 250 was replaced with my 450 within 2 weeks and I haven't regretted it since.

Like I said though, I believe riding style and terrain need to be the biggest deciding factors. I'm an aggressive rider, and I ride mine on trails, dunes, and I plated it so I ride it on the street all the time. If I was only riding trails I would be fine with a 250, as on the trails I rarely use the 450 to its' full potential as MotoXdoer stated. It's a different story on the street and dunes though, I'm much happier on my 450.

Anyway, enough rambling, just thought I would offer my opinion from my experience, cuz I went through this same battle for about 2 months before I bought my 250 a couple years ago.

you can find a used kdx200 (2stroke) fairly cheap, and it will be easy to maintain. like stated above, it really depends on type of riding, and your learning curve. after racing mx for years. things i learned on the 80,and 125made me more prepared for the 250 2stroke,whoever that being said, my 450f has made me kinda of lazy on the track, i can click it in 3rd gear, and leave it there around the track with no problems clearing obstacles. and yes i am old fart, but still having fun at the tracks.

It still depends on the type of riding you'll be doing. No input is going to be much help unless we know what you're doing with it...

    I think the yz250 is a 2 stroke not 4.

If you're not riding dunes, I would stay away from 2 strokes. The YZ250 is a great bike, but not on trails.

Yzf250 - Four stroke with plenty of power perfect for people who want a trail bike but may also want to hit up the track.

Thanks everyone I picked up a 05 Honda CRF230. The Yz250 was bigger and looks intimidated to me since it will be my first bike and it was a 2strokes. The yz also looked more banged up so I decided to take the Honda instead. Hopefully I can take her out sometime next weekend. I took her around the block and it rode nice. I will post up some pics shortly.
