Great! I'm packed and ready. Will roll out @ 4:30 AM. MapQuest says 3 hours, 16 minutes from house to meet up spot. We'll be stopping for breakfast around 6:00 to 6:30. Should roll in around 9 if all goes well.

As long as we have someone near the front and someone at the tail end with a CB, we'll be just fine.

Looks like a total of 7 vehicles. (2 from Expedition Portal)

Have fun tomorrow guys, wish I was joining you as I love the drive. You can cover that 93 mile loop I made with some stopping in about 6 hours pretty easily. The north end is where all the creek crossings are, but I don't know how wet they'll be with the weather we've been having. I'll be having fun at my job interview.

I was hoping to make it over, but I pulled my back out again on Thursday. I've already reached the level of pain meds today that I shouldn't be driving and it's still hurts to much. :sorry:

Just rolled in the driveway! 17-1/2 hours since we left this morning.....505 miles total round trip including the trail....Averaged just over 18 mpg. Tired and ready for a shower and some sleep.

It's not every day you can park your truck in front of a 10' tall bust of Minnie Pearl made out of chicken wire and take a picture of your wife....(In the courthouse square of Centerville Tn.)

Many thanks to everyone involved. @Dave41079, a special thanks for sending the map along to Allen. Without that. we would still be sitting in the parking lot at Leipers Market!

It was dry....dusty as all get out on the gravel roads. The water crossings were easy, but still had plenty of water running through them. Never put mine in 4wd once.....No need. But it was an awesome ride!

Three 2nd gens, Two 3rd gens, One Sequoia, and a Land Rover Discovery 2.

The guy who made the Minnie Pearl bust did a lot of sculptures for the San Diego Zoo as well.

After today, he might be shopping for a Tacoma though! Terry was very impressed! Although, his Sequoia is a very capable rig....

He can still join the forum (might help sway him?). Sequoia was a nice rig, though. If he stays in it, he could always stick some Tacoma badges on it, just for kicks

    Just joined.

And while I might start looking around for a good deal on a Taco, it's going to be down the list from other big ticket items. Mama wants some kitchen upgrades, going to Germany for Oktoberfest next year.

Also, every dollar I spend on a new vehicle is a dollar I can't spend exploring!

But I'll check in from time to time. Was an absolute pleasure to meet such a great group of folks to socialize with!

I hate that I missed this. Hopefully ya'll will want to do it again soon and I'll be able to make it. I love that house on Cavender Rd that has the walkway across the creek, and the garage at the top of the house.
