i've lived in 3 places with a HOA. 1st one all the houses had cedar shake roofs. if you built a doghouse (after getting their permission of course) it had to have a cedar shake roof. 2nd one on earth day i planted a 6 inch tall pine tree in my front yard that work gave us. my neighbor pulled it up because i didn't get permission to plant it. 3rd one if i left a yard chair on the front porch overnight it was a 50 dollar fine.

    never, ever, again.

Oh...well...that didnt go as planned. On my trial test fireing, the HOA Pres. and the Property manager were walking twards my place. I didnt bother to open my gate to see if anyone was comming, I just aimed out the gate, and let it rip........Then things went south. Not only were they not very pleased, but I cooked my Rose bush and a part of my block wall. I convinced them it was an "Accident".

That's a horrible idea. The guy is already cop happy, just imagine the crap he'd make up after that confrontation.

Don't know about other states but down here there's laws against scaring / threatening / harassing old folk (anyone over 65 I believe).

It was pretty basic. I didnt have too much time for R&D. I used some mister line I had laying around, a "T" fitting, and a small plastic bottle. I connected an air chuck to a 10" section of mister line, then the "T", then about 3' more mister line. I connected the plastic bottle cap the the "T", let my compressor build psi. Filled teh plastic bottle with about 8ozs. of gasoline, then connected it to the cap. when the compressor turned off, I had a lighter attached to the end of a Yard stick, with the button depressed and duct tapped. I lit the lighter (the yard stick was propped up with some bricks), "aimed" the Flame Thrower at the lighter, and as I depressed my blower nozzel (thats attached to the assembly), I flipped the plastic bottle upside down. BIG FIRE BALL. I dont recomend doing this if you dont have good health insurance, or are married........well....actually......dont do it.

yup my parents live in The Villages...it's a HUGE retirement community down here. So big it has it's own zip code. I visit them now and then, there's town squares where they all go hang out and attempt to dance (on clear nights you can hear the squeaking miles away). Some of those old folk really don't want youngers around, I get dirty looks, some attempt to push in front of me in lines (like "what are you gonna do about it, i'm old"). Sometimes I wanna kick a cane out now and then, but sure enough it would be my ass that spent the night in jail.

^Oh I hear you, I'm just saying this guy obviously doesn't think reasonably or logically so I wouldn't go anywhere near him just because he'd make stuff up. Of course, I'd still do whatever I want on my own property.

My city has absolutely NOTHING for the police to do but break up high school parties and I had some fat chunks of mud on my driveway and nobody seemed to care.
Oh well, old people, what can you do? :p

I do like the idea of confronting him and just being like, "dude, what's up?". But like you guys said, who knows what he would think of next.
