Was ready to purchase these but was told by @Dirt King Fab sales that they're only good for up to 33's. Just ordered new wheels with 35's :censored:

Different brand, but same concept. The video quoted above is what ultimately sold me on TC LCA's and explains why the ride is more "firm".

I don't understand why the max is 33" tires? If others are running 35" tires on stock LCAs .. why the restrictions with DK LCAs?
I don't have short term plans to go 35", but would hate to have to ditch these DK LCA if I do.

Derek at DK said they had rubbing with 35” at full lock so 33” is the max. I had them in my cart then got that email and cancelled my order. I don’t want to do TC due to the uniball and NY winters.

I have dirt king UCA’s and LCA’s. I’m on 34’s with no issues. A friend had Dirt king LCA’s on 35’s with no issues. Maybe it just depends on your wheel offset.

My front suspension setup is actually for sale. I’m going LT. I have DK UCA’s,LCA’s and fox 2.5’s w/resi. PM if interested

Would love to know how this happened. Was it the larger tire size, like 35" plus that caused it? I see so many Tacos with stock lowers that off road weekly and have never had an issue. Which is why I ask.

I think it’s ridiculous that we need a CMC to run 33”s on any negative offset wheels. Wish Dirt King would make caster adjusted LCA’s like solomotorsports. Simply moving the LBJ 1” forward adds 1-2 degrees of positive caster. Ran the solo LCA’s on my 02 4runner and had tons of clearance in the rear. If dirt king or solomotorsports comes out with this solution I would buy a set in a heart beat.

Is the rubbing at full lock with 35s even with a CMC?

With 35's they were likely rubbing the firewall along with the cab mount if it wasn't already aggressively chopped or relocated. With 35's its no longer just the cab mount that becomes a concern for rubbing. I rub tf out of my firewall, I want to get it tubbed but I have been exploring LCA options too.

There's a company called btf fabrication that is currently working on a LCA that moves the ball joint forward. I'd like to pair those with Accutunes new upcoming UCA that moves the upper joint forward as well and PRAY I no longer rub but I could get the firewall tubbed for 1/3 of what all that would cost.

35s are possible with our performance LCAs, depending on what modifications the end user is willing to do. We try and make our products as straight forward as possible, and while 33s are the max recommended tire size, dozens of people have used 35s with great results. Its going to be dependant on tire brand and model, wheel width, offset and alignment specs. A negative offset wheel will cause rubbing problems on the cab mount (which can be cured with a cab mount relocation) and a positive offset will cause the inner tire to rub on the rearward portion of the LCA (steering can be reduced with a modified steering stop) so there will be some trial and error of wheel offset and width of tire. Also, our performance LCAs do not move the lower ball joint forward, if we did that in combination with the alignment correction already put into our UCAs castor numbers would be very high and far out of our recommended spec.

What type of front coil-overs do you have? I've been looking at Camburg's lower and upper control arms. I recall their website states that their factory length LCAs are not compatible with "bushing rod end" front coil-overs? I'm going by memory so I may have the phraseology wrong.

I'm on 35s with DK upper and lowers. No issues with the DK parts at all. Love them. With any 35 you will need to modify the wheel well. No way to get around that. If that bothers you forget about 35s.

I'd be curious to hear the rationale behind creating a product for serious off-roading that doesn't avail itself to the most popular off-road tire size for those pushing their vehicles. Frankly, the strength of a stock LCA is plenty for most people wheeling their trucks on even a semi-regular basis. The only justification I could see for a product like this which limits tire size but adds additional strength WITHOUT upgrading to a uni-ball would be long distance to include remote touring. I'd also disagree with DK's assessment of the LCA being the most vulnerable part of the Taco suspension, their claimed reason for upgrade. Most exposed perhaps, but the spindles are easily the most vulnerable to damage on these trucks.
