It's easy to play tricks on the brain when it comes to suspension changes. Simple "feel" proves to be very inaccurate most of the time.

Usually it just feels different and we fill in the blanks with what we WANT to feel.

To get accurate results you need a good baseline test then compare "before" and "after".

Well, the slight roll wasn't there before. Truck handled like on rails, wet (mostly) and dry roads (definitely). Comparable to my Prelude even, which scared the shit outta me cuz I did some dumb shit in that car!
It wasn't there before and is now after the bar delete.

The shock dropping noise can't be mistaken. It's loud as hell and BANGS! when it happens. You know it inside the cab, and I'm sure it's plenty audible outside. It was there before and seems to happen much sooner now, less down travel before noise happens.

I'll slap a tape against it later today and see what the numbers say. It was dead nuts at 23.25" each corner hub to fender initially after the lift, without my rear bumper. I measured a day after the bumper and the rear dropped maybe 1/8" if any.

I've had a poly lean spacer on mine for 77,000 miles now. No deformity so far.

Will continue to use. I make 'em myself.

    You using OME front shocks?

They are noisy (clunk) and just a bit short on travel.

If it works. I think i've wheeled hard enough (or was probably more of that railroad crossing i jumped) to crush mine a bit

Remember, I've got a 3/8" poly on both sides, and a 1/4" poly stacked on the driver's side :anonymous: so, don't listen to me

May be the quality of the poly too....?

I use sheet poly that's sold for cutting boards used in commercial kitchens. It's harder than some poly I've dealt with.

I use 2 different hole saws, and cut them on my drill press.

We have some pretty serious UHMW blocks we use for impact segment on our 'saddles', they can ricochet up to 338 Lapua and withstand several tons of force dropped on them too.

If I ever need to make spacers, that's what I'm using

May even up the game a bit and go for the better ones. 5160s? or 61somethings. Whatever they are...

Anything to make up for the stiff springs and lack of downtravel in the OMEs
Everett and I talked about it when we demoed the porch. Both of us are afraid that over time, the lack of weight up front will eventually pull the OMEs apart or worse. So it's either the lo pro winch bumper thing a few folks sell, or new shocks.
I'm gradually leaning away from a full bumper to avoid more expenses due to lack of motor. (gearing, turbo, etc...)
