    Thanks!

What brackets are used/made to attach the rack to the roof? And I don't believe that 1/4-20 hardware would fit the 4 holes in the roof.

Not my picture, but mine bolt like this. The bolt goes down through the pipe sleeve into the holes. On top of the sleeve is an L Bracket that my rack sits on like this then is bolted to it just like this.

If you have a welder, this seems to be a good way as well and you can use smaller bolts to go into the holes and be done with it. My bolts were barely long enough the bolt through the sleeves and into the threads to allow the rack to clear the truck top. I could've used about an extra 1/4" long bolt but it was hard enough to find these long enough to begin with.

I'm tempted to make it out of 1" square tube, or 1.5" x 1/2" tube and weld it at work after hours. Then I get into it maybe weighing too much. Don't think the roof is rated for more than about 200lbs of static weight iirc

Adding any weight to the roof is no bueno if you can avoid it

    Utilitarian.

If I don't do a cab rack, I'll do a bed rack. Maybe both

I can't speak to anecdotal comments on the Powertrax. Never had one. No experience with them. They may be all that AND a bag of chips....Don't know...

I have owned Detroit lockers....one in a Bronco that had a 550+ hp 400 cu in Cleveland Ford. It snapped drive shafts, broke transmissions, even snapped a couple VERY expensive aftermarket axles. But the locker held.... They were once the 1st choice on pulling trucks, race cars, etc... (Most use spools now) There is nothing man made that can't/ won't break. I've had my hand in on about 25 Detroit lockers being installed. Not one broke (so far) I won't try to say they can't break, but I've seen enough evidence to say they SHOULDN'T break under normal use/abuse.

Then there's that age old issue where some people can break half a brick....Others are just smoother and easier on equipment and don't break parts.

I've been good with the stock TRD OR E-locker. Some say it's fragile. Some of us have had good luck with 'em.

Got a line on some tires and wheels. They'll sell fast in all likelihood....265/75r16 Goodyear Duratracs on Mickey Thompson Baja wheels. Less than 3000 miles. $600.

I already have the wheels. Got a set of steels at LBL.
Not the first tire I'd choose, but can they be priced without the wheels?

Well damn. I like that they're a hybrid of AT/MT, but might not be much better than my Grabbers. Reviews seem to point to thin sidewalls, chunking, and soft compound. All things the Grabbers wins at.
