Back on the bb tars. Man, that was just sooooo hard  changing wheels...didn't even use my air tools til I get the garage feeder ran in again.

Anywho. How the hell can an alignment be affected SO MUCH by these different tires? I'm nearly straight and true with the Grabbers, but the KM2s kick the wheel to the right and would push the truck left if I let go of the wheel. Sure, the KM2s aren't exactly balanced well, but it did it at all speeds. 5mph or 55mph.

Always possible, yes. Josh chunked em a bit, and I certainly didn't baby them this past trip to RRG. I let those KM2s eat and eat they did! :fistbump: :mudding:

    Clutch. At minimum.
More important and functional than a front bumper. Bumper won't do shit without anything pushing it.

Tires don't affect alignment. They may affect how your truck tracks and follows the crown/ruts in a road but your alignment is the same regardless of tires.

    Yes, and no.

That doesn't explain why all 5 wheels, drive and steering are straight with the Grabbers, but the steering wheel is cocked right ~15° driving straight and letting go of the wheel steers left immediately on the KM2s. At any speed, slow or above 65mph. The Grabbers behave as they should across the board.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
Does it matter which km2 is where? Rotate front to back, still happen? What air pressure in km2s?

No period. Alignment is a static series of measurements taken from the hub. What tires are on that hub/wheel make no difference in the alignment numbers.

Sounds like you may have a bad tire if it's behaving that oddly.

I've not gotten that deep into this yet. I aired up to 38 or 39 psi when we left and it rode a lot better, less shake in the 40-65 mph range than before.
This makes more sense. Guy here at work said the taller tire may have changed the camber, but without touching any components, not possible.
An out of balance tire is more so the culprit I think. They'll get balanced when I have them put on the steel wheels.

Also yes. As little as the KM2s will actually be on the truck, I'm not sweating it. More of an inquiring minds type of post.

Suspension geometry does not change with tire size. Period.

How truck interacts with the road will change with tire width/height/weight/condition (ie wear)

Alignment hasn't changed unless you physically changed it.

Mud tires CAN put more focus on what was a bad alignment/less than perfect alignment that wasn't as pronounced of a condition with less aggressive treaded tires.

Existing tire wear changed with swapping tires.

.....There's where your problem is at.

Oh, there was meat! And it was gorged! Gotta keep it kinda family-friendly on his page.

Cody is pretty good with a video camera/drone and editing software.

    Hey @cllowe24
Did you do any of the bonding work on this rack? Or was that from the other owner? Curious what was used. One side seems to have held and the other didn't.
