I'll PB the shit outta all the things Friday night. Disco whatever connectors/clips I can. Make the wood jack support thing for the oil pan. Gather up my tools.
Saturday morning, PB again. Eat breakfast. Then hope in one hand and shit in the other.

 

Tonight, I'm gonna get that damn skid bolt out!

Far as hope, that's all on not having to resurface the flywheel. Only 66k on the truck as a whole. If I'm lucky, I'll scuff the flywheel and clutch plate surfaces, then clean them and be good to go. It has gotten pretty hot before and got smoked a couple times really good, might be some hot spots, might not.
Bright side, found a shop 10 minutes from home to do the flywheel for $45. Not open weekends.

 

What happened to the 1st gen?

Sheared bolt on the bell housing. Needs a new clutch.

Disconnecting all the sensors and brackets off the t case and trans so it can drop out. Then remove trans to flywheel bolts. I'll get pics then.

Currently sitting my ass on the couch cooling off and dinner will be ready soon. Removing the driveshafts and removing the seized skid bolt wasted a lot of time. There was a lot of adjusting the truck from the rear to get the big shaft out easily. Front was cake in comparison.
All in all, had pretty good luck so far, just a little slow doing it solo and trying not to burn out or break anything.

 

Got real lucky and had a friend from work stop by. Helped drop out the trans and t case. Lost a little trans fluid, no biggie.
In the AM, remove the old shit and put in new. Calling it a night...zzzzzz

 

They've got some hot spots. Good amount of clutch material left, which I figured to be the case. As you see, hot spots everywhere, but no major discoloration or anything too deep. Think I can get away without a resurface.
Replacing everything but the flywheel regardless.
