Also, these are the "uncommon" failure modes, most likely, failed MC or SC as I'm sure google has already informed you... :/

It's been a while since an update.

Parts are correct. Verified with LCE.

Also verified that taking it all apart again before calling them was stupid. :anonymous:
They said to adjust the pedal throw, to get more force on the fork.

You home again today working on it?

Reason # 34,975 why I don't want to be a mechanic in my next life.

    1. Nope. But I did bleed it yesterday morning. Didn't need that, but the fluid was a really dark gray, glad I did.
    2.Yep, fork is good.
    3. Parts are good and proper. Definitely is stiffer over OEM, if not exact to OEM pressure and feel. I just had junk that was so worn that the truck wasn't used to a new lease on life.
    4. Pressure plate was also good. And clutch disc.

I've got a 2014. TOB was installed correctly. ALL parts are correct and correctly installed.
I'm a dummy for not calling LCE at the first sign of an issue to consult with them.
Did not win. Drove a friend's Avalanche to get to work this AM, fuckin death trap Chevy!:bananadead:
Gf and I were super close to getting trans mounted all good last night, at 11PM. We were also gassed and shit was getting sketchy and dangerous being that tired. Start again tonight with a fresh mind.
Don't be a girl. I didn't even drink beer the whole time, I'm a virgin to this specific operation, and it's day 4. The price ya pay to play!

Probably do you good to just walk away from the clutch deal for a day anyway. Sounds pretty frustrating....

Anyone know where I could separate the t case from the trans? Without needing to source gaskets and seals that won't be in stock at VatoZone or the like? Or losing all my fluids?

    20180916_002044.jpg

If none of the above is possible, I'll just wrestle this bitch in again. Inquiring minds.

No seals or fluid will need to be replaced if you keep them reasonably level. Getting the top tcase bolts in the truck can be a bitch though

Right. As seen in that pic, about a quart of MT90 ended up in my driveway through the shift lever hole.
Gid was telling me I'd have to replace gasket and or seals if I separated parts. Just trying to make this thing more manageable if possible. Not sure where I can split it

Pull these bolts all the way around if you want to split the tcase from the trans. The void between the tcase and the trans doesn't hold any fluid and has no sealant, there's just a trans output seal that the coupler from the tcase slides into to keep the fluid in the trans.

I'm gonna give it a whirl!
You sure there's not gonna be a bunch of fluid leak out? Again, through the hole for shift lever is how fluid got lost on Saturday night when we first got it out.

NEXT TIME (if there ever is a next time) let me know ahead of time and you can use my transmission jack. It handles the entire assembly pretty well. Never "easy" but "easier" than what you're doing now.

All I know is this sounds like 10000x more annoying than motorcycle clutches, and those are a pain in the ass.
