1....I HATE changing tires/wheels more than I have to.
2....2 many spontaneous off road expeditions (Some intended, some not so much...:drunk:)
3....Winter sux for ANYTHING related to working on truck

Swapping may be OK for you, but I'm just not seeing that as an option in my world.

Eh, 40 minutes or so, and I'm swapped. That's waiting for the air compressor to fill, smoke a cig, drink a beer, and remove my CB antenna.
Yeah, it's a heavy process and time could be better used, but #4bangerprobs. I like the drive-ability the baby tires give me between wheeling trips. Nowhere closer than Rush to have a spontaneous trip.

When you're 60+ you don't equate it to time....It's all about how knee and back pain.....:annoyed:

DeWalt cordless impact, 2 floor jacks, and 4 jack stands. Can swap 'em like a NASCAR pit stop.

    Just pain....

Have you ever seen a Michelin LTX A/T2 in person? I will really consider those on my next truck. They look solid for what most of us do.

The last tires I had on my Dodge. Wear like iron. Got over 80k. Avoid wet grass. Got stuck in my back yard hauling a load of firewood.

Flat ground.....truck that routinely pulled a 14k gvw trailer in and out of fields at our farm. 4wd at that....It would pull damn near anything if it had traction.

Those tires were useless on anything slick.

Sandy pulled me out of the back yard with a Cub Cadet lawn mower.

    HAHA!

No lie, I've actually had pretty good luck out of some knock-off brand tires in the past.
One of the best sets of tires I ever had on one of my 2wd trucks were Dayton Daytona SR tires. Very good traction in nearly everything!

Best bet for good $100 tires is take offs from someone who bought new and went aftermarket. Common sizes.... dont just watch Toyota.

Also....find someone you know at a tire (or car) dealer to have them keep eyes/ears open.

Could I interest you in 5 leaky KO2s....285/70r17s. Off of Cruiser....about to see it on the road. Will have STT PROs soon.
