    No thanks.

Not looking for Toyota specific, that's just dumb. Looking for specific size.

Where's a good 12v always on thread? Or tell me what to do, please.
Little to no luck searching. Found 3rd gen thread that required removing the kick panel fuse block and soldering on the back of it. I know it's easier than that on 2nd gens.

Just get one of those combo 12v socket & USB ports from crAmazon and run your own wires from the battery. I put mine on a switch so i can have 12v on when i want.

I only really want it for CB purposes. The Cobra 19 Ultra III auto switches back to ch1 if power is off more than about a minute.

I ran power AND ground straight to battery for CB. Less static thatta way. I've left CB on overnight several times. Does not draw enough to harm battery charge.

Just what I thought, but....Ran a 14g hot and 12g ground straight through firewall and to battery. Got immediate cleaner RX/TX from radio. Prior, I had noise when LED light bar was on. Now it's cleaner'n Skeeters Peter. (You can assume Skeeter has a clean Peter)

I just put a new Cobra unit in the truck and its spliced into a lead straight from the battery to 12v/usb sockets in the back, hopefully it is relatively static free too

Meh. I'll eventually wire it in like my lights are. Always hot, turn on any time (any key position)

That's how we did mine. Works well for base camp (since my truck rarely leaves the staging area)
