Changed diff and t-case fluids today.
T-case looked brand new! No discolor at all until the very end. Even then, it was still light colored. Filled anyway.
Front and rear diffs were dark as shit! In the rear I found a piece of metal on the magnet about the diameter of a pencil eraser, only about 1/16 or less thick and some fine shavings that were more like sludge. Oil was DARK and got milky at the end! For the front, it was also pretty dark but no metal pieces like the rear had, only sludge shavings. It had no milky color at the end.

Attempted diff breather again, without success @beertimecontinuum.
Think I'll just suck it up and get the dealer fittings and rubber hose

That sucks, you and your tight rearend hole. I should have brought a tap to LBL but I just assumed you were doing it wrong (old maintenance man habit lol). I'll get your refund ASAP.

I don't need a refund man. I'm only out the money for the fitting from McMaster.

If I knew I could keep it clean, I'd take the factory one off and have threads checked to see what it really is. Kinda bummed McMaster part didnt work

Still 99% sure your threads are M10x1.0 just like every other Tacoma including 1st gens. I'll take another look at the fitting you linked. Mine were 1/8 NPT thread size, both should have went right in there :notsure:

Well, that IS wierd. My link is to a M10x1.0 fitting. The one you linked on ebay is bspp x1/8 which definitely wouldn't fit (the NPT is tapered).
If the McMaster fitting wouldn't go you're threads must be either different or damaged. My guess is the OEM breather was cross-threaded at the factory which is why it still fits in there.

If you want to wait I can definitely fix it next time I see you. You going to RRG?
Also, it'd be easier if that rear was lifted HAHA

If it's supposed to be tapped m10x1, I can get a tap. And yes, a lifted rear is always easier to fondle

It's @ChadsPride's fault. Because I've put an impressive number of posts down in a short amount of time as well... it's a strange phenomenon.

Come Wednesday, new parts shall happen!

And I'm gonna get the AAL and hold on sliders actually. I need to get the rear shocks from Chris to truly be complete with the lift. And Mike did have a good point about stashing a little back for tires so I didn't skip leg day.

Trust, if I had the money, I'd buy packs AND the sliders. But I don't. And @Bluegrass Taco even tows and hauls WAY MORE than I will with his Deavers, so I'm sure I'm good. And he has 3x mileage on factory leafs than me too.
    You ain't kiddin!
