Pulled all the old and low power lights off the truck and replaced them with the full Diode Dynamics package and wrapped every inch of them in LaminX amber film. Holy heck these things throw light and don't break the bank. Had to do a little cutting of the Prinsu to get it to fit, but otherwise all plug and play with my 8 switch panel. Even switched all the interior lights to red for good night vision retention out camping (I'll put up a photo soon). Now I need some chase/camp lights!

Truly hard to find a more beautiful place. You get a little of every type of environment! I do miss California for that reason too, though.

While I'm waiting for my Expedition Essentials propane tank mount to get here, I figured I would move to shovel to a better spot since I now mount the mtb to the side of the bed rack. Fabbed up some simple alu brackets for the quickfists. Easily tucks behind the spare tire on the swingout

    IMG_5208.HEIC.jpg IMG_5209.HEIC.jpg

The question now is, can I fit a 4 gal rotopax in between the front and rear tire of the mtb. I'm assuming no and it will have to be mounted to the inside, but I guess I have to just buy it all and make it work!

The Diode 30" bar specifically is bright as hell. I'm running a combo lens pattern on the hidden bar and spot on the roof rack. The hidden light bar mount was bought from CaliRaised, I have a promo code with them if you need it. IMO the black plastic doesn't prevent the light from extending out too much, but I also haven't tried it without the plastic in the way so I can't say how much is blocked. Luckily most of the steel front bumpers take a 30" bar so once I get one, it'll just be swapped over.

Appreciate it! I actually wrap all of my lights in LaminX amber film. I do it for two reasons, it protects the lights from rock damage and the "amber" from light companies are too yellow for my taste. LaminX amber is straight-up deep orange, much better for snow/fog lights.

FWIW, I have had eBay brand traction boards for the last 3 years of frequent use and they are still in great condition and work just as good as any expensive brand would.

Oh sweet ya boards are so expensive for the little use they get. And that film interests my a lot! I think I’m going to do that because I don’t care for the super yellow either…

Sorry your build is just so bad ass I have another question. Lol The red interior lights are they brighter than the original white lights or would you say they’re less bright. I love the look of red but I could just never seem to justify losing light to go red. Thanks!!!

Haha no problem, that’s what the thread is here for! The red aren’t as bright as white. It doesn’t bother me cause it was always so bright to me, but if you want to spend a little more MESO has the dual color white/red dome lights

Been too long since I updated the build thread! Here's the Expedition Essentials propane tank mounted to a C4 swingout rear bumper. I used two existing holes at the top and drilled two new ones for the bottom. SUPER secure product and I would suggest it to anyone who needs an external mount for your propane tank!

Thanks! I needed something to get my clothes away from the doggo, but didn't want to spend $90+ on the options that's out there. Got a lot of interest from Tacoma friend, so I figured I should sell them too!
