    Photo from the site, not mine, so ignore the arrow. This is fuse box in driver footwell, second from the bottom on the right side, D/L (dash lights). Not sure if that’ll disable the led screen though, and not sure if anything else in that circuit is required to drive the vehicle, but that is the dash light fuse.

    That's not it. Pulled that one earlier and all the dash lighting stayed on.

    interesting. I’m assuming the engineers never imagined a situation where a driver would be using nvgs and want the dash lights disabled, so it may not be possible.

    @caribe makaira Any idea sir?

    I’m thinking if you’re really motivated, you could pull the cluster to inspect the illumination bulbs, if they are all wired up with a common power line connecting them all, you could probably add in a simple switch somewhere on the power line. I’m assuming it’s already fused and relayed, so a simple switch somewhere on the power line with that switch mounted somewhere under the dash would be a relatively easy mod.

    i have wondered this same thing but have yet to thoroughly find a fix. I attempted to run it with the lcd screen off and with a shirt over it but it’s still extremely bright under nods. I saw a while back that Lucas from Trex Arms had a blackout switch installed into his 4Runner for use with driving under nods. From his description at the time he claimed he was able to kill all the lights in the vehicle at once? Might be worth reaching out if you can get an answer.

    Edit: I found the post where he discusses the mod on his personal IG page. Work completed by High Country Cruisers, he says it kills the brake lights and interior lights but not the main HUD, I’m assuming he means the dash and not the lcd head unit? His fix for the dash was to cut a piece of opaque plastic to fit over the cluster so he can still see the gauges under nods, not a bad idea.
