Anyone knows how to disable the annoying door chime on 3rd gen when switching off the car and opening the door. Without cutting the wire so light will still stays on or pushing the button every time. Is there a setting I can adjust ?
I pretty much knows when the door is open and closed, no need annoying endless reminders.

You'll need to visit the dealer, or make friends with someone w techstream

Or you can do it with Carista

Cannot be stopped without pulling the tiny speaker behind the gauges, or wiring in an “on/off switch” which you can click to make it think the doors are closed. If anyone says it can be turned off, they have mistaken it for the seat belt chime. Least favourite part of my truck.

Just push the button in the door jamb and this will silence it. You would have to do this each time. Easier than trying to get to dealer to eliminate it.

There is no way to disable the door chime in Techstream or Carista. It is not an option.

Thanks, i figure it might be in the vehicle core setup programming (safety issue)
but i'll give it try with Carista and post the results.

I didn't know that, it would drive me nuts.

I know when I had my lights swapped in my 2nd gen gauge cluster the guy who did the soldering removed the speaker, I'd suspect you'd need something similar done for you to have silence

Mine only beeps if I open the door before pushing the on/off button, or if I forget to put it in park before pushing the on/off button (last car was a manual, so this is always a problem). But if I put the truck in park, then push the button, and then open the door, it doesn't beep at me.

I was so tempted to do this a while back because that door chime is annoying. But worried about losing the signal beep and a few other warning beeps. Then I realized all of those noises are annoying.

Next time I have my cluster out I’m busting that little guy loose.

I always thought that was the phone mic but it’s actually the climate control temp sensor.
