I'm surprised that this is not all over YouTube or the web in general.

Does anyone have a solution not to have your phone start playing music when connected to Entune audio?

The default is for it to start playing your music and you have to hit the pause. I only want it connected so I can hear Google Assitant through the speakers.

    Thanks in advance.

Likely cause people like their music! :D

I do not think there is a solution here. One option might be to simply have your music audio level set to zero on bluetooth so you only get assistant - that can be done through settings

More likely a setting on your phone than a setting in the truck. Google play music pisses me off with this as it will override whatever I was doing last (pandora, iheart, youtube, ect) and start playing. The only way to stop it from doing it is to restart my phone. It will not auto play until I open the app again.

    It's complicated.
Found this thread, and I'm looking for a fix for this as well.

Music from my iphone begins to play the moment the phone connects with Entune. It's irritating, and depending on what some comes on, can be jarring.

I like hopping into my truck and having the last song I was listening to start playing again. I just wish my phone would do better remembering the bluetooth profile and set the volume where it was. Although, maybe it's Toyota's fault.

When I use a bluetooth speaker, the phone volume and speaker volume are linked, but in the truck, the phone has to be at maximum for best sound, for whatever reason.

Mine will only autoplay bluetooth if that's the last setting it was on. If I for example leave in on XM it will play that and will only start bluetooth if I switch to that source. So just leave the radio on a different setting and it should do what you want?

What's truly weird, at least to me, is that I listen to audio books most of the time; yet it's always some random song that begins to play when the phone & truck connect...

Thanks for this workaround; I will definitely try it!

I believe Entune just remembers what you last did when you turned off the truck. So when you restart the truck, it continues... therefore, go to that app and press stop.
