My Tacoma came with a factory radio and backup camera. I just bought a Kenwood replacement, and plan to hook it up as the backup camera monitor.

Following the excellent instructions here (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oem-camera-connection-below-dash.30889/), I found the reverse trigger and the camera feeds. At this point I'm in good shape on actually getting video to the head unit.

Before I do anything drastic (like actually installing it) does anybody know if it's possible to disable the screen in the rearview mirror? I would prefer to only have the video feed show up on the head unit.

Any thoughts, short of replacing the mirror with one sans video screen?

    Thanks!

EDIT: I believe I found my answer in this thread, post 14: 09+ Backup Camera PINOUT
