I went in there to settings, just as in the video, and then to PCS. Highlight the PCS option and then hold down the center button in the steering wheel controls. It then changes the setting to PCS OFF, and immediately, the PCS OFF light comes on in the dash. But again, this is not permanent and everything goes back to factory once the truck is turned off and back on, at least this is what it does on my particular 2019. My gripe is not with the PCS system but with the adaptive cruise control though. And for people who keep mentioning Tech Stream, I have another question; I was able to download and install tech stream on my laptop, and even obtained a login online. I also obtained a cable online, that is OBDII on one end and USB on the other. But after that, I cannot seem to get any connection in the truck when I have both ends of the cable plugged in and tech stream running. have I missed something there?

i dont know what to say, i dont have a pcs off light on my dash, and it is off permanently, unless i turn it on again. the adaptive cruise is easy! hold button until radar ready is off. it is about a second and a half. viola, no adaptive cruise. unfortunately, the tacoma, like most asian cruise controls, needs to be activated to your preference each time you shut the automobile off. Well I have had a really bad experience with adaptive . I thought I was coming up on some guy so I tried to turn it off completely . I don't know what the hell happened but the front wheels rocked back and forth violently . It did it a few more times when I applied the brakes and then it went normal . Toyota couldn't find anything wrong . I don't know it shocked me so much I just don't use cruise control at all . Sometimes I think they load to must of the tech stuff . I mean I can parallel park without the extra 5 or 10 grand to have to buy the next trim up to get some of these things . Showing my age I guess !

sounds like death wobble. Not common in Tacomas.
