The door buzzer and seatbelt buzzer drive me nuts when I’m moving the truck short distances off of public roads. I found this video on removing the speaker that emits the sounds and it was incredibly easy. That being said I’m considering reinstalling the speaker with a simple breaker/switch so that it operates normally for daily driving.

I’ve easily disabled the seat belt chime using Techstream. No luck on the door buzzer though.

I can't stand that door buzzer too. For some reason, I always open the door just before I push the OFF button. That beep is one of my least favorite sounds now. Looking around here I haven't seen a good option. I'm working on CADing up a 3D printed solution now. Definitely want a non-permanent solution and easy-install that uses the existing screw. I think I have a good design but need to test it out. I'll keep you guys posted on how it works out.

You'll learn to love it being gone. I wasn't sure about losing the turn signal sound, but that ended up being one of the nicest things about this. Nice, quiet waits at stoplights versus increasing annoyance the longer the light was.

I'd attempt Open Heart Surgery before I'd do this.

I’m definitely curious to see what you come up with. My plan was to just mount a push button in one of the currently unused button locations.

I used Carista to turn off the seatbelt chimes. Wish it could do the doors too

THANK YOU! I hate that thing, especially when I turn the truck off with the door open. 2 days ago I was wondering where that speaker was to disable it.

Here's my first attempt (pics in a later post). I have a few minor visual refinements. BUT it's functional and fits in the space. It's works pretty awesome.
    Other design goals:
    1. Quick easy install
    2. Mount with the existing bolt,
    3. Maintain water seal from existing rubber boot
    4. Profile less than closed gap (ie, fit without touching/impacting the door paint)
    5. Removable

I'd like to test and verify it's a solution for all 3rd gens. I have a 2020 but noticed you have a 2019, AxisCab has a 2018, jbiscuit has a 2021. If you three PM me your addresses. I'll print some extra for this second design. In return, I'd ask for a few pics of it installed and your feedback.

Seat belt chime is easily turned off with techstream. Door chime can be turned off by pressing the door closed switch in the door jamb.

Took me a minute to figure out how to post the pics.
This was printed on a Form3 labs laser SLA printer with a pretty expensive resin. Vs the more common FDM printers. The sidewalls needed to be pretty thin and the FDM (cheaper filament) printers wouldn't be strong enough if printed to fit the space. It would look more bulky too.

Let me know your thoughts. Happy to incorporate design feedback!

At the very least they should go without food for a few days and watch someone eat a perfectly prepared steak, or whatever you’re into, for each time that thing has caused someone to say “Shut the f*** up!”

That’s pretty cool! How much does the printer you used cost?

Wouldn't this make your truck think you never opened the door and thus not turn off electronics and drain the battery?

I was also thinking that after I posted my reply.
The only thing I’ve missed, which CAN be turned on/off, is the lane assistance warning. The pedestrian alert and reverse alert still work without the speaker. It just kills the door, seatbelt, blinker, and lane assist.

Its around $4k and the resin is about $150/liter.

It hasn’t yet. But good points. I will verify if it times out or something.
