Following instructions and pictures provided by others, I revoved the drivers side kick panel, and cut the green wire that provides power to the TPMS ecu, at the left most connector DA (14pin).

The instructions then said to remove the glove box, locate the IJ1 connector, and cut and ground the blue wire.

After completing the above, I turned on the ignition, and the TPMS light was still on ???

I originally was going to jumper the connections at the plug to the TPMS ecu in back of the heater controls. I was unable to loosen the ecu to get at the wiring, so I did what was describer earlier.

ANy ideas what to try next ?? Thanks in advance for any help.

    TnShotter,
I realized that perhaps I grounded the wrong end of the blue wire last night. This morning I will ground the other end a see if that does the trick. Thanks for the reply. Have a good one!!

This morning I tried to ground the cut end of the blue wire going into the plug, instead of the other end which I grounded yesterday. Same result, the TPMS light is still on. Also grounded the original end that I tried yesterday and the plug end, still the light is on ???
Not sure what to try next ??

After spending a lot of time looking for additional information about disabling the TPMS light, I saw in one thread that cutting and grounding the blue wire as described by others does not work on a 2008 (which is my truck). It said to apply 12V instead ??? Any ideas ?? I hate to apply voltage, and cause damage somewhere else.

For a 2008, with things operating normally and the TPMS light off, the cluster is expecting to see >3.2V on the blue wire from the TPMS ECU.

Grounding it will definitely not disable the light on the gauge cluster.

2006-2007's need to be grounded to turn off the light.
2008-2015's need to have voltage applied to turn off the light.

Jeff, Thanks for your input !!! I will first look to see where I might be able to locate and pickup that available voltage inside the truck. Otherwise I may try 12v and see what happens. Have a good one !!!

I know this is an old post, but I have the exact same issue. Wondering what your solution was to find voltage somewhere and if that fixed it. Thanks!
