I asked this question about a week ago and accidentally figured it out. Just unplug the connections to the xm receiver under the head unit and the xm option disappears.

Which one is the XM plug? The white one or the brown one (your pic shows both unplugged)?

If someone doesn’t have or use XM it eliminates the icon which eliminates the extra mode when going through modes on the steering wheel if I had to guess.

This is good to hear... been debating about swapping in an FR-S antenna in place of the sharkfin and was wondering what would happen when the XM module was removed.

Look man... When I’m trying to get from FM to my Britney Spears greatest hits CD, ain’t nobody got time to go through extra modes!

    Hahaha!

My problem is that when I try to go around of the horn with seven different modes, I end up overshooting it and have to go around again. 1st world problems!

If I could just have BT and A/V for the front camera, I'd be stoked. To get rid of the PoS XM mode is killer though.

It looks like we got another useless bit of mail from XM today. Idiots. . .

I put them on the spam list. So far, it seems to be working. Nothing is gonna stop the USPS gravy train though.

Nah my dealer never gave them my phone number during my initial 3 months.

This latest 3 months, I was able to put in a fake name and phone number lol

Is the stock XM receiver compatible with aftermarket head units?

This has a lot to do with why I'm so adamant about removing the thing. Right up there with ADT.
