Disable xm option in Audio Source menu

A couple years ago I finally called them to tell them to stop sending me mail. At the time, I was receiving daily mail from them asking me to sign up. I told the ADT rep I wanted it to stop. His response was something along the lines of, "what would you do if someone broke into your home and hurt your family?" I told him this was harassment and they have since stopped mailing me.

If you use the Toyota entune app on your phone you can move those apps around and remove them as you want without having to unplug anything.

 

Remove them so they're not even an option on the stereo in the truck? How?

Well when I first bought the truck I could. Now looking at the app you can't. Sorry for the false information man. My bad.

 

I won't subscribe to XM but will sample their free trial periods they typically do around Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

 

No worries. I've tried a thousand times, and only wish there was a way.

I'm going to just uninstall the app and reset my stereo. The only thing I even remotely use is the weather, and that's not a necessity

unplug the Sirius module from the radio

 

Yes. Those two connectors that you see in the second pic of the 1st Post.

 

I may have to try unplugging mine too, and possibly the 3.5mm jack for aux input.

I pay about $6/month for Sirius/XM radio. The icon is fine right where it is.

 

This mod is certainly not for you.

Since Entune doesn't give us the ability to hide or delete inputs without physical changes, this is the way for those who don't have a subscription and want it gone.

 

If only there was a way to get rid of the other crap. Pandora is gone, I don't use the AUX port, the iHeart app is hot garbage and I've never used Slacker Radio in my life though I'm sure it's equally bad. Yet if I hit the Mode button on the wheel I get to scroll through ALLLL of those.

First-world problems, amirite? I'm not even that interested in deleting XM. A couple times a year they turn it on to entice people to re-subscribe, and I'll listen to it then. Guess I'd turn it on for a cross-country road trip or something. Besides that, its lack of commercials doesn't make up for its lack of HD quality.

 

If you tear up the envelope, etc and stuff it in the prepaid postage return envelope most places include, they get their shit back AND they get charged for the postage! lemme tell you, that stops some spamming offender mail REAL quick.

 

Totally. But, since it can be done. Not to mention the annoying mailers. One less reminder, the better for me.

The lack of lack of commercials is what always made me laugh. The same crap on Hulu almost has be paying for commercial less, but it is a big jump and their content is not that great.
