Is that what you pay for it in the states?

I was offered a special deal of $16.99 /month! I said thanks but no thank. It must be the duty to get the satellite signal north of the border. o_O

OOOOOHHHH Cox Cable has it comin'. You're a genius. For some reason the XM people decided to leave me alone. Not complaining.

That's about the standard rate here I guess. They offer discounts here and there. I remember one time they offered me something like 4 bucks a month, for four months. I said yes and cancelled it the day before the four months was up.

I would like to confirm that the process is very similar with my 2016. Pull off the bezel that surrounds the screen, 10mm bolts x4. The brown and white cable clips are on the back-bottom.

I would be more than happy to pay like $4-5.99 a month for it but $16.99?! Not gonna happen lol!

I don’t remember the Sirius/XM antenna color, but if they integrated it into the radio, my guess is it’s the black connector. Which would make the simplistic board the equivalent. If so, remove the board. It essentially presses down onto main board contacts (see the pin arrays to the sides). Watch for ribbon cables. My bet is removal takes away Sirius/XM functionality as would be required in Canada/Hawaii.
    Enjoy!

You’re right, the black coax connector is antenna for XM. Get a HU no signal notice if selecting XM now. Still trying to figure out if pulling other connectors can removed the XM options, or I will just try pulling the board.

Yep, my thoughts are that Canada/Hawaii ship with no board and a plug or no punchout. I seriously doubt they designed a no XM radio when deleting is a simple as just not installing a component. Much easier before when it was a separate unit added like a CD Changer, but Modulars these days…

Just did mine. You do have to remove that small board the coax is plugged into.
