I've got a better idea. Why not just buy new sensors and install them. Cost is about $20/tire every 10 years. The light stays off unless you have a problem, you're not breaking the law or exposing yourself to a lawsuit; and it might actually save your life.

Those sensors aren't designed to replace an air gauge. They warn you of a sudden tire deflation while driving and will give you a few seconds to get onto the side of the road after running over debris that punctures your tire before it goes completely flat. Having a tire come apart at 70 mph can kill you and others.

How about I don't want them. I don't want to purchase them or pay to have them installed. I'm airing down often and don't want to see the light at all.

That tpms light isn't going to save anyone's life bud. While we carry different opinions on this subject, yours is not "a better idea."

If anyone was curious, this works

Reviving this..how did you do this method? Does it matter which side of the connector?

I cut the blue wire and quick spliced it onto the red/white wire. I would splice it on the side shown in the picture. One issue I have noticed is that if I turn on my High Beams it also illuminates the TPMS light. One day I will get off my lazy ass and remove the bulb from the cluster.

650H1 is correct! I cut the blue wire, stripped it and inserted it into a 3-port lever wire connector. I then cut the red/white wire in the same harness, stripped both sides where I cut, and inserted them into the other 2 ports of the 3-port lever wire connector. I left the harness unplugged from the TPMS unit, as described by bama trd. I turned the truck on and the TPMS light still flashed for a minute then went solid. That is what it had been doing for a week, and the reason I wanted to make this modification. I turned the truck off and plugged the harness back into the red TPMS unit, which was a chore let me tell you, but it worked! I turned the truck back on and no TPMS light!

I have a 2006 and it mentions the blue wire needs to be grounded (instead of going to hot). Has anyone with 2006 performed this and it works? Thanks
