    Hello friends
I have a question about airbags. Can you cut them off? My wife is tiny and she sits as far as the seat goes forward. If it goes off it will kill her. I had a gen1 and had a head on collision ( setting still) and it pushed the radiator all the way into the engine and the bags did not go off. Bumped my head on the stearing wheel.
    thanks for your help
    best wishes to you

Personally I would think tracing out the wires for the seat occupancy sensor would be the best way to go, tricking it to detect no one was in the seat as compared to pulling a fuse which might disable more that what you want. Given these seats aren't powered, it shouldn't be to hard to do. Only other wires down there are heat if equipped and wrapped yellow wires for air bags, leaving just the Bum sensor wires.

Are you talking about her being in driver seat? There is a position sensor on the driver side that changes how forceful the airbag deploys based on being closer to the wheel. I wouldn't mess with it. I'd imagine if she got hurt (or worse killed by striking head to the wheel) and they find out it was tampered with, it won't end well with insurance and healthcare bills.
