Gotta chime in because of the solutions posted that clearly do NOT work thanks to people NOT reading!

I too like to open the doors and listen to the radio while working outside with the truck, doors open is better sound than doors shut windows down is why.

Note; yes you can turn the truck off before you open the door, or after, then press and release the switch to silence the beep IF THE TRUCK STAYS OFF. Once you engage accessory mode (only way to use the radio and I’m assuming everyone posting wrong solutions must have ignored) the beep returns NO MATTER.

having the doors shut, then engine off, then accessory on, then door open...even press and release of the door switch...still beeps. why this is presented as a solution is beyond me. when the doors open doesn’t matter.

basically the only oem way to stop this is to leave the driver door closed as only that one causes the beep

the second way is to unscrew the switch, nothing more just remove the torx t30 screw. that was it on mine. apparently the screw grounds the switch and once I took the screw out it shut up

*edit-note-accessory allows limited time before power is shut off. key on will leave power going to everything but will allow the press and release door chime silence

I'll revive this thread with a question. I too share this first world problem of the annoying door chime on my 2021 with pusbutton start. For models with a pushbutton engine start, I have only found two solutions on the internet, but both have side effects.

    1) Trick the mechanical door switch into thinking the door is always closed . . . but then the interior lights will not turn on when you open the doors. This side effect was a dealbreaker for me.
    2) Pull the dash module and physically break the beeper off of the circuit board . . . but this is (mostly) irreversible and you lose other beep functions with it.

I am considering option 2, but I have a couple questions. I know option 2 also takes care of the seat belt beeper and "forgot the headlights on" beeper, which is great. My truck (unfortunately) has a blind spot beeper, rear parking beeper, crash avoidance beeper, and lane departure beeper. I don't like or use this stuff personally, but I need it to stay functional in case I ever sell the truck. Can someone who has done option 2 on a truck with this many annoying beepers explain specifically which beepers go away and which stay? The rear parking beeper would definitely continue to work. It audibly comes from a different source. I'm not sure about the blind spot beeper and lane departure beeper. Those are more difficult to pinpoint audibly.

On another note, a couple days ago I fixed the super annoying external "siren" beeper that sounds when you walk away from the running truck with the keys in your pocket (most annoying beeper of all). I just located the beeper, pulled the pins out of the connector, removed the beeper altogether, and applied adhesive shrink tubing over the harness terminals to protect them from the elements. No more external beeper. I also lost the door lock/unlock external beep function, which is fine because that was annoying too. So far I have experienced no negative side effects from removing this external beeper, and if I ever decide I want the truck to beep at me again, it's completely reversible.

    Thanks!

On my 2021 I used to be able to just push the rubber button in once and it would stop. Now it beeps and beeps and beeps. It will pause when you push the button but then return as soon as you let go. Not sure why it changed but it’s annoying as hell.

What I did was buy a cheap clamp from harbor freight and just clamp the door switch

I know this is an old thread but I just unplugged the chime at the ignition switch. It’s a small white plug. On my 2018, it’s located right next to the ignition under the plastic part that covers it.

Ty. It will work with the smart key? I’m old so that’s what you mean by ignition, just look for the white wire. Does it stop it for all doors or just the driver. I’m doing my sons meso mirror pod add on’s. Not as easy as I thought. And my son loves it but I think a little to brite. My fiancé and I have a 2016 caddy really nice clean. It was her grandma’s who passed. It had built in mirror pod lights . I switched them for play boy bunny projectors. She said they have to go lol ty very much
