I tried using the procedure below on my 2014 Tacoma and I get the long beep but it does not disable the sound. Has anybody successfully completed this procedure on a 2014 Tacoma?

Note: The truck did not acknowledge with a beep until I removed the key in Step 3 and then pressed the lock button twice.

    1. Open the driver's door, and insert the key into the ignition. Leave the door open.
    2. Remove the key from the ignition, and within 5 seconds, re-insert the key and then turn the ignition to ON.
    3. Wait at least 10 seconds, but less than 20 seconds. After waiting, press a button on the remote twice. Press the same button two times - don't press two different buttons. The system will acknowledge with a beep if you did it right.

    1. Opened truck with fob.
    2. Opened driver door, left open.
    3. Inserted key into ignition, didn't turn it, removed immediately.
    3. Reinserted key within 5 seconds.
    4. With key in ignition, turned it to the "on" position immediately.
    5. Waited 10 seconds, THEN pressed the unlock button on the fob twice in quick succession. Note: Truck beeped twice signaling it was unlocked.
    6. Rotated the key to off.
    7. Removed key.
    8. Exited truck, closed door.
    9. Pressed lock button on fob, and door locked, no beep sound.

I was able to get it done on my 2014, but it came back after unhooking my battery. I just unplugged the beeper under the hood after that. Problem solved and easily reversible. Much simpler.

I like the beep. Lets me make sure from a difference I locked the truck. Nice to know I can unplug the beeper.
Can I unplug something so the truck doesn't beep at me with the keys in my ignition?

Has anyone figured out a legit way to unlock all doors with one click though?

Personal preference. I think the beep as unnecessary and annoying. I can hear the actuators in the door click and see the lights flash.

    I did this last week.

Do you have the KARR alarm installed from the dealer? It's an optional item, so if you aren't sure - the answer is likely no.

FWIW, the one click unlock is an alarm function, without it you can't make that happen.

No I don't. I don't want to spend hundreds to be able to do it.
You should be able to reprogram it somehow, I can't imagine it is impossible without some aftermarket addition.

I honestly wouldn't halfway mind it, if it actually unlocked all the doors with two clicks, but most of the time I swear I have to hit it like 4 times in a row to unlock all doors. It's very temperamental.

Unfortunately it's an alarm function. The truck itself will not allow the single click open.

Aftermarket alarms can allow that function also and can be much simpler and cheaper if it really bothers you.

    It is definitely convenient.

    1. Open hood
    2. Push lock/unlock button on fob
    3. Find beeper ... battery side ... radiator frame
    4. Unplug

As a middle ground I taped over the beeper. Still audible but very softly. Done this on my previous vehicles.

Easier yet, shove a vacuum cap in it. Silences it 98%, easily reversible. Can only faintly hear it if you are standing at the drivers front of the truck hitting the button. Few steps away it is inaudible.
