We have a regular cab and need to disable the passenger airbag for a child seat. We do not have a key switch for the airbag, just a plastic plate cover. How can we disable the airbag so it is safe for the child seat?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Check your manual for sure but I think it won't activate unless there is 75# or more in the front seat.

That's what is says, but we just don't feel comfortable trusting it. Is it possible to buy the keyswitch cover so we know for sure it's disabled?

That I can't answer with certainty. The plug is already back behind the cover though.
