Disc Brake Anti Rattle Springs - which set?

    Good evening! So I did a front disc brake job (New Rotors and Pads) on my 2007 Tacoma (2.7 PreRunner SR5). As I was battling rusted pins and looking up advice on how to get them free - I noticed on a few posts that there (appears) to be two types of Anti-Rattle Springs out there.

    Type 1 Example (which I have on my vehicle..) - can be seen here:

    Type 2 Example - Looks something like this:

    Mostly I'm just curious as my brakes are fine. Is there an advantage to one vs. the other (was this an updated part?)
