When I first started playing, I got a 3 disc innova starter pack. The mid range it came with was the panther, and that's still my old faithful. I've slowly started replacing it with an innova mako3. Very similar, but I find it easier to throw straighter because of how it feels in my hand. Worth checking out

Same boat here. I recently switched to the Wraith mainly because I like the flexibility of the flightpath (I can't throw overhand to save my life).

The wraith is my main distance driver. I'm assuming you mainly throw flick? If so, you should check out the millenium quasar (or the innova boss). It's a pretty overstable disc that'll have a good hook left backhand, but conversely have a nice hook right throwing flick. On some longer, more open holes, I'll just aim to the left of the basket, and let 'er rip (flick) and can get it a good 380 feet

Got the boss too. Use that for my distance. Wraith is my all-purpose super awesome disc of winning!

I'm an Innova guy. I drive nothing but a Valkyrie on just about every hole over 250'. I just vary the weight depending on the curve I need to get around obstacles. 67g is my go-to for pretty much every drive, and the softer plastics (DX) just fly better for me (backhand). When I switch to a sidearm for those weird throws, I only throw a Champion Valkyrie or Firebird.

    Favorite putter - DX Aviar
    Favorite approach - Champion Roc

It's pretty interesting reading everyone's discs of choice based on their playing style. I've thrown a lot of the ones mentioned here too. Damn, now I want to go play! I haven't played yet since I moved up north a couple weeks ago.

I'm dying here. Haven't been out since October 'cause of a shoulder injury. Was supposed to do last weekend but rain...

Here in AZ, we are in some prime disc golf weather. Why am I not out playing again? Oh I know.. my good disc golf friend moved out of state and I put my game on hold. *looks at feet with hands in pockets* *kicks pebbles around*

FYI, I'm a rare lefty disc golfer. I started 30 years ago, using only sidearm throws for all of my long drives. It was a rough start, but I eventually was outthrowing my backhanded peers. About 8 years ago I went to all backhanded drives and got just as good with either. Now it's really handy to be able to use either depending on which direction I need to fade.

I do NOT recommend sidearm drives for every hole. They will destroy your elbow and potentially your shoulder.

I threw 54 holes one day, using nothing but sidearm drives. That was the end of it. Now I maybe throw 1 sidearm drive for every 18 holes, and that's for whenever I have water on my right.

Sidearms fade right though. Why throw flick if there's water over there?
