Disconnect battery for bedlight installation?

    If the Toyota instructions say to disconnect why are you even asking this question ???

    Speaking of Toyota's instructions for installing these... it'd sure be cool if they included some instructions in the box :notsure:

    I installed the bed lights yesterday and disconnected the negative battery terminal first as is “suggested”

    Disconnecting the battery was the easiest part of the job and took all of 30 seconds. Being right next to the fender, Toyota could not make it any more convenient.

    It very much depends on what and where it is. however, I'm used to working on live circuits/panels as its the only way to T/s some issues. So, for me its very rarely do i ever disconnect the battery
