Recently removed the muffler from my 2003 tacoma. I am going to be making a side exit exhaust pipe, but that is going to take a few days. Currently the oxygen sensor is just zip-tied to the frame, and that’s causing it to code and the check engine light to come on. My question is: is driving the truck for a few days without the oxygen sensor in going to cause any serious problems? Or just the annoying light on the dash?

So you have removed all four sensors and have zip tied them up out the way temporarily?
I would disconnect them, mark which goes where of course but I wouldnt want them just hanging there banging against the frame while driving.
I would think the engine would run rough missing all four sensors data especially if you actually removed them and now are driving with four extra holes in your exhaust.
If the PCM puts to much fuel in you can cause damage to the cats but I would also worry about the extra little bit of gas that burns off in the cats shotting fireballs out the sensor holes.

the black box computer will try to compensate
resulting in th check engine lite

which might be intermittent in that Ur side exhaust may actually change
    back pressure
    maybe the Air/Fuel ratio

no serious issues at all.................. essentially no damage
    yet idle might be ruff
