The used car dealer I bought my truck from told me they removed
the seats while prepping the truck for sale. As I look under the
drivers seat now, I see this:

I guess some of y'all probably know what those wires are?

I don't know for sure, but if i had to guess, I'd say the previous owner had an amp or something wired under there and when he sold it, he took it out. Either that, or someone was trying to do a half assed patch job to the wiring harness because it was messed up. Maybe someone else has a better idea of what those are for.:notsure:

One of those is for the seatbelt buckle sensor for the dash. No idea what the depinned wires are doing.

Thanks y'all... I'll look harder for the other end of the seat-belt sensor one... I wear my
seat belts, but I'm pretty sure nothing dings if I don't fasten them. Disconnecting
the seat-belt sensor is how one would de-ding the seat belts, right? No other
    harm done?

There's some kind of aftermarket cd-player in the dash, it works, maybe the
other wires had something to do with an amp. I hate loose non-standard wires
coming up out of the floor, but maybe not as much as I'd hate looking under the
carpet under the seat :) ...

I'd hate to think those wires had something to do with making my airbags not work,
I guess there's probably no airbags in a 2002's seat. There's airbags in my 2005
mini-cooper seat, but there's also an airbag tag on the seat.

Looks like the depinned wires are coming from the floor and the plug from the seat. I think the depinned wires go in the plug for the seat belt light

    Oh. I understand it now.

The black loomed wire goes to the seatbelt buckle, and the depinned wires from the floor is the other end of he seatbelt harness that it plugs into.

That’s all it is. Nothing aftermarket or anything.

Keep it as it is. No harm no foul, it’s just your seatbelt light won’t illuminate.

Someone pulled on the connector too hard and it pulled one wire out, and destroyed the other one. You can see the connectors are still mated with one pin intact.
