Hi I wanted to see if there is a way to disconnect the gas gauge only, in a 2013 Tacoma, 2.7. From what I have found, the only way would be to disconnect the entire dashboard, which I would prefer not to do. Thanks!

There's got to be a signal wire at the fuel pump hat for the fuel gauge, but it's probably wrapped up in the power/ground for the pump.

Why do you want to disconnect the fuel gauge? Just curious... :D

You could just disconnect the wires at the sending unit at the tank. I don't have access to the schematic at this time. I'll try and post later.

If you had that that would be great!

I need to store the truck for a few months. Afterwards I am not sure if I will drive or ship it. Tank needs to be mostly empty to ship, but I want to have it full while in storage.

Looks like the wires are Orange and yellow with a black stripe for the gauge.
Connector is ID2 Pin Terminals 2 and 5.

You don't have to go all the way to the Tank for the connector. The ID2 Connector is in the left (drivers side) kick panel.
